Daniel Jaekel Chicago Classic
May 22-23, 2011
UIC Flames Natatorium, 901 W Roosevelt Rd, Chicago, IL 60608
The 33rd Annual Daniel Jaekel Chicago Classic Meet is one of the longest continuously operating meets in Illinois. The meet was re-named in 2006 to honor LFSC swimmer Daniel Jaekel who died in 2005 at age 10 of a sudden heart condition. Each year we remember Daniel and the positive impact he made on our club and his teammates. One of our endearing memories has been his touching rendition of the Randy Newman hit song, "You've Got A Friend In Me".
Teams expected to compete in the 2011 Daniel Jaekel Chicago Classic include: Academy Bullets, Westmont, Ultimate Swimming, McGaw YMCA, YWCA Flying Fish, Leaning Tower YMCA, TOPS.
