Big smiles from Maddy, Maddie, Emma, Alina and Catherine are proof that the 2013 LFSC Duck-A-Thon was great fun! Pledges and donations are still being tallied but our first night totals are impressive. Outstanding pledge sheets and prize lists should be turned in to a coach ASAP so we can order all of the prizes.

That was some great swimming at the Daniel Jaekel Friendship Classic and the best volunteer support we've seen in quite some time!

Thanks to everyone for answering the call. Many of you asked what more you could do for your child's club . . . and we found some projects in need of some TLC.

 

Publicity – Help write and submit LFSC news and meet results to local media outlets.  Coordinate the distribution of LFSC posters and publicity materials throughout the community.

Warrior Wednesday Snacks – Help promote team spirit by coordinating a snack after our special “Warrior Wednesday” practices this summer.

Squad Parents  – Help plan social events for our Mighty Ducks, Yellow, Green and Bronze squad swimmers.

 

Contact Lauren Jacobs at kurt-lauren@prodigy.net or one of the coaches if you are interested in helping with one of these activities. Any of our Board members (Lauren Jacobs, Dave Holecek, Mark Holzer, Julie Manning, Anne deGot, Margit Metsur and Tracey Vondra) would also be happy to talk to you about other ways to volunteer for the club.

Remember . . . the best way to help your child be a better swimmer is also the best way to meet other swim families and have FUN!

Get ready for weekend of great swimming at the Midwest's premier competition venue. This meet is one of the final opportunities to qualify for the 2013 World Championship Trials and we expect some very high quality racing!

Teams ready to race at the 2013 SwimFest include Lake Forest Swim Club, Lake Geneva Swim Club, Badger Aquatic Club, Waukesha Express, Southwest Aquatic Team, McGaw YMCA, Swift Aquatic Club, YWCA Flying Fish, Beloit Aquatic Team, Munster Swim Club, Blue Devil Swim Club, Pulaski Area Swim Club, Howard Suamico Stormbreakers and Elmbrook Swim Club.
