LFSC Mini-Ducks and Mighty Ducks Program

If you are at least 5 years old and can float, kick and swim freestyle (or have passed Level 4 in the Swim America program), its time for you to join the LFSC Mini or Mighty Ducks Program! Call Coach Laurel Liberty to schedule and evaluation, 847 735 5372.

The Lake Forest Swim Club continues a proud tradition of quality instruction in the 2011 Saturday Swim School.  LFSC operates a SwimAmerica program under the direction of Coach Laurel Liberty, Swim School Supervisor Brigit Issacson and Program Director Michael Lawrence. SwimAmerica is a state-of-the-art instructional program that allows students to progress at their own pace as new skills are acquired.

Levels I – X offered at each class time

·         Maximum class size 5 students

·         35 Minute Classes

·         Saturday Class times are 8:30a or 9:10a

·         New! Monday/Wednesday class at 4:30p

·         $90 per student

A registration form for swim school (included on the back), accompanied by full payment, must be received at the Lake Forest Swim Club, 555 N. Sheridan Rd., Lake Forest, IL.  60045 by March 31^st, 2011 for placement in a class. For your convenience we accept VISA/MC card as payment of all LFSC program fees. Please review all program policies and restrictions on the reverse side of this flyer.

Saturday is Homecoming at Lake Forest College. Our Swim America Swim School classes will begin 30 minutes earlier with classes at 8:00am and 8:30am.

Get a tune up on your stroke skills before you dive into the next season with the LFSC Rising Start Technical Clinic. Each session will focus on one of the four competitive strokes as well as start and turns. Our Rising Star Clinics are open to all swimmers, membership with LFSC is not required.

Mini Ducks

Our advanced instructional program designed to help young swimmers make the transition from swim lessons to swim team. Water-safe 5-9 year olds able to float, put their face in and kick for 10 yards are perfect candidates for the Mini Ducks!

Mighty Ducks

Our pre-competitive swim squad provides advanced instruction for competitive strokes, starts and turns. Swimmers participate in Mini-Meets to reinforce practice skills as well as teach swimmers how meets work. It is for 5-10 year olds that can swim 25 meters non-stop freestyle and backstroke.

Session 1:	Sept 13-Nov 4	5:30-6:15p	at Lake Forest Academy
Session 2:	Nov 8-Dec 30	5:30-6:15p	at Lake Forest Academy
Session 3:	Jan 4-Feb 24	5:30-6:15p	at Lake Forest Academy

Age Group Dryland Clinic -- Saturday, May 1

Swimmers in the Mighty Ducks, Yellow and Green squads are starting the month off with a special clinic, Dryland Training For Young Swimmers. Coach Mo teach our age group swimmers the importance and benefits of special exercises performed away from the pool. The LFSC dryland program focuses on core strength, flexibility, joint stability and simple body weight exercises to enhance swimming development and lessen the chance of serious injury.

The clinic will be held at Lake Forest College (meet in the pool), 8:30-9:30am, this Saturday. All swimmers should be dressed for exercise-- shoes, shorts, t-shirts; there is no in-water session in this clinic. There is no charge for this clinic with Coach Mo.
