Swimming has many complex skills that must be developed over time. Beyond floating, kicking and breathing there are such things as wall skills (starting, turning, streamlining), relay skills and underwater skills. The best swimmers take the time to master these skills and use them every day in practice. Check out this page and each stroke's individual tips page so you can be at your best for your next meet.
